The Horseshoe Stable at Llangollen

Built by Jock Whitney, 1930s

The crown jewel of Llangollen Farm. The 200-foot semi-circular colonnade was built for Liz Whitney's show horses and has become one of the most recognised equestrian structures in America.

24 stalls, a carriage room, tack room, and an enclosed promenade that creates a sheltered courtyard unlike anything else in Virginia horse country.

700 Acres to Roam

The pastures are managed for quality forage year-round, with rotational grazing that keeps the ground in exceptional condition season after season.

Eight spring-fed ponds, miles of post-and-board fencing, mature hardwood treelines for shade, and the Blue Ridge Mountains as a constant backdrop. There is no finer setting for a horse in retirement.
